About the Role
We are looking for a highly driven and experienced Government Tendering & Business Development Executive who can independently manage the complete government tendering process, including e-Tendering, GeM tenders, state government tender portals, tender documentation, bid submission, L1 achievement, Purchase Order (PO) processing, and government coordination.
The candidate will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with government departments and officials across different regions, cities, and states. The role involves occasional outstation travel of approximately 2–4 days per trip for official meetings, tender-related discussions, business development, and government coordination.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of government procurement procedures, tender documentation, GeM, state-wise e-tender portals, commercial bidding, and the ability to take ownership of the complete tender-to-order cycle.
Job Location: Pune (Willingness to travel across different cities and states as required)Experience: 2–5 years in Government Tendering, GeM, E-Tendering, Government Sales, or a similar role
Education Qualification: Graduate degree in any discipline; MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, or related field will be an advantage.
CTC & Salary Range: In hand Rs.30,000/- to Rs.35,000/- per month+ PF, ESIC, Gratuity & Health Insurance Benefits (CTC: Rs.4,23,228/- to Rs.4,84,668/- per annum).
Incentives: Performance-based incentives linked to L1 achievement, PO conversion, and monthly/quarterly business targets.
Government Tender & GeM Executive – Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and participate in Government E-Tenders and GeM bids across Central/State Government portals.
- Handle the end-to-end tender process, including eligibility, documentation, technical and financial bid submission.
- Coordinate with internal teams to collect and prepare technical, commercial, legal, and statutory documents.
- Analyse tender specifications, market pricing, competitors, and previous rates to develop L1 pricing strategies.
- Track tender results, reverse auctions, negotiations, and maintain tender databases.
- Take ownership of monthly/quarterly tender, L1, and business targets.
- Develop relationships with government departments, procurement teams, PSUs, and institutions.
- Attend government meetings and travel to different locations as required; 2–4 days of outstation travel may be required.
- Manage post-award activities, including LOA, Work Orders, Purchase Orders, and order conversion.
- Coordinate with Finance, Operations, Logistics, Sales, and Management for timely PO execution and delivery.
- Monitor tender-to-order conversion, PO processing, and overall government business performance.
- Analyse lost tenders and continuously improve bidding and business development strategies.
Required Skills:
· Strong working knowledge of GeM and various Central/State Government tender portals.
· Good understanding of government procurement and tender procedures.
· Experience in preparing technical and commercial tender documents.
· Ability to understand BOQ, eligibility criteria, specifications, EMD, PBG, tender terms, and commercial conditions.
· Strong negotiation and commercial understanding.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to coordinate with government officials and internal departments professionally.
· Strong follow-up and documentation skills.
· Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, email, and tender-related documentation.
· Willingness to travel across cities and states for official meetings and business development.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.

The primary objective of this position is to increase government business by consistently identifying suitable tenders, achieving L1 status, converting successful bids into POs, and developing strong government business relationships across regions and states.
Travel Requirement:
Moderate to frequent travel across different cities and states.
Outstation travel will generally be for 2–4 days per visit, depending on meetings, tenders, government requirements, and business opportunities.
