Job Summary
The PDI In-Charge is responsible for overseeing all Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) activities to ensure every new vehicle meets the manufacturer's quality standards before delivery to customers. This role coordinates with the Sales, Service, Accessories, and Logistics teams to ensure timely vehicle readiness and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the daily PDI operations.
- Ensure all vehicles undergo complete Pre-Delivery Inspection as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Verify vehicle quality, functionality, cleanliness, and appearance before delivery.
- Coordinate with the Sales team to prioritize vehicle deliveries.
- Ensure accessories are fitted correctly and functioning properly before handover.
- Maintain PDI checklists, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
- Identify and rectify defects by coordinating with the workshop team.
- Monitor vehicle stock movement from yard to PDI bay and delivery area.
- Ensure compliance with OEM standards, dealership policies, and safety procedures.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the PDI and delivery areas.
- Train and guide PDI technicians on quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly PDI performance reports.
- Minimize delivery delays by effective planning and coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in automobile dealership operations, preferably in PDI or Service.
- Experience in supervising technicians and coordinating vehicle deliveries.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in an authorized automobile dealership (Passenger or Commercial Vehicles).
- Familiarity with OEM quality standards and delivery processes.
- Experience with Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
This profile is suitable for automobile dealerships such as Nissan, Toyota, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Kia, Tata Motors, Mahindra, and other OEM-authorized dealerships.
