About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically strong 2D Draftsman to join our interior design team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing detailed interior working drawings, coordinating with designers, and ensuring that drawings are accurate and execution-ready.
This role is critical in translating design concepts into precise technical drawings that can be used by clients, project managers, factories, vendors, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
Interior Working Drawings
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings for residential interior projects.
- Create furniture layouts, electrical layouts, false ceiling layouts, flooring layouts, and plumbing layouts.
- Develop detailed furniture drawings for wardrobes, kitchens, TV units, crockery units, vanities, and custom furniture.
- Prepare section drawings, elevations, and detailed joinery drawings.
Technical Coordination
- Coordinate closely with Interior Designers to understand design intent.
- Ensure all drawings are aligned with approved designs and site conditions.
- Incorporate revisions and updates based on client and site feedback.
- Coordinate with project managers and site engineers for execution requirements.
Production & Execution Support
- Generate execution-ready drawings for factory and site teams.
- Assist in preparing cut-list references and technical details where required.
- Ensure dimensions, materials, finishes, and hardware specifications are clearly documented.
- Resolve drawing-related queries from execution teams and vendors.
Quality Control
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and technical feasibility.
- Check dimensions, clearances, and functional requirements before issue.
- Maintain drawing standards and documentation protocols.
- Ensure drawings are organized and updated throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Interior Drafting.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of residential interior detailing.
- Knowledge of modular furniture construction and joinery details.
- Understanding of electrical, plumbing, ceiling, and flooring drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in premium residential interior projects.
- Knowledge of SketchUp is an added advantage.
- Understanding of furniture manufacturing and site execution.
- Familiarity with hardware brands such as Hettich, Hafele, Blum, and Ebco.
