Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assembly Supervisor to oversee the assembly operations of industrial machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring production targets, technical specifications, and quality standards are consistently achieved while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
This role requires strong leadership skills, hands-on mechanical assembly knowledge, and the ability to coordinate effectively with engineering, procurement, production, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily assembly operations involving mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and BOMs.
- Ensure machines are assembled according to technical specifications and quality standards.
- Plan and allocate manpower, tools, and materials for assembly activities.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and quality control teams for smooth execution.
- Conduct in-process inspections and final assembly checks.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and assembly-related issues on the shop floor.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and proper PPE usage.
- Maintain assembly documentation, reports, checklists, and work orders.
- Train, guide, and mentor assembly technicians and new employees.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen.
Required Skills & KnowledgeTechnical Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly processes, tolerances, and fits.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and BOMs.
- Hands-on experience with assembly tools, torque equipment, and alignment techniques.
- Knowledge of quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Basic understanding of ERP systems and production planning.

Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in industrial machinery or heavy equipment assembly.
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
