Cloud Architect (AWS/GCP)

Job details

The Cloud Architect will provide technical leadership and expertise in AWS and GCP cloud services and will also manage a larger team.

Lead the design and implementation of cloud architectures on AWS and GCP.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the cloud architecture team.
Develop and maintain architectural standards and best practices.
Lead pre-sales efforts, generating intelligent outcomes for clients by whiteboarding their current infrastructure and proposing architectural solutions to migrate and enhance their infrastructure from on-premise to cloud environments.
Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of cloud architectures.
Conduct architectural reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.
Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8-10 years of experience with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Computing (AWS/GCP/Azure) and IT operations in a global enterprise environment.
Extensive DevOps experience, with proficiency in containers, Docker, Kubernetes (or equivalent), and using these technologies for the architecture of multi-region, load-balanced, resilient microservices platforms.
Strong Linux skills, with RedHat/Centos or Ubuntu/Debian preferred. Windows Server experience is a plus.
Deep knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Experience with hardened operating systems, security concerns, bastions, and DMZs.
A "do whatever it takes to deliver" mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Ability to architect solutions, conduct extensive research, and iteratively improve and re-architect as needed.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance cloud solutions.
Ability to work in a dynamic, young environment with intercultural aspects.
