Job Summary
The English Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging English language lessons to students in higher primary classes. The role focuses on developing students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and communication skills.
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking and creativity through language activities.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Evaluate students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain classroom discipline and promote positive behavior.
- Use interactive teaching methods and educational technology to enhance learning.
- Organize classroom activities such as debates, storytelling, role plays, and reading programs.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' progress.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, school events, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is preferred or required as per school policy.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of child-centered teaching methodologies.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital teaching tools.

Experience

Reporting To
- Headmistress/Headmaster or Academic Coordinator.
Working Hours
- As per the school's timetable and policies.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
