Job Description (JD) – Academic Counsellor

Position Summary
The Academic Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students in selecting the most suitable courses based on their educational background and career aspirations. The role involves counseling students, converting leads into admissions, maintaining strong follow-ups, and ensuring an excellent student experience throughout the admission process.
Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Counseling
- Counsel prospective students and parents regarding available courses, career opportunities, and program benefits.
- Understand students' academic background, interests, and career goals to recommend suitable programs.
- Address student queries regarding course curriculum, duration, fees, certifications, placements, and career prospects.
- Conduct in-person, telephone, and online counseling sessions.
Sales & Admissions
- Convert assigned leads into admissions by providing effective counseling.
- Achieve monthly admission and revenue targets.
- Follow up consistently with prospective students until admission closure.
- Handle walk-in inquiries and online leads professionally.
- Maintain a high lead-to-admission conversion rate.
Lead Management
- Respond promptly to all assigned inquiries.
- Maintain accurate student records in the CRM.
- Update lead status and follow-up activities on a daily basis.
- Ensure no lead is missed without proper follow-up.
Student Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with prospective students and parents.
- Provide timely updates regarding admissions, batches, and course schedules.
- Coordinate with the Operations and Academic teams to ensure a smooth admission process.
- Assist students with documentation and enrollment formalities.
Reporting
- Submit daily activity reports to the Team Lead.

- Participate in daily review meetings.

- Monthly admission target achievement.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills or candidates with up to 3 years of experience in education counseling, admissions, or sales are welcome to apply.

Pay: ₹12,433.26 - ₹40,528.77 per month
