Reach Education Action Programme (REAP) is committed to providing quality education and learning opportunities to children from underserved communities. Through our STEM initiatives, we aim to nurture curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among children and adolescents.
Job Purpose
The STEM Educator will be responsible for planning and conducting engaging STEM learning sessions for children, particularly from Urdu-medium and Urdu-speaking backgrounds. The educator will create a positive learning environment that encourages exploration, innovation, and active participation.
Key ResponsibilitiesSTEM Education
- Conduct hands-on STEM sessions in schools and community learning centres.
- Simplify science and mathematics concepts using activity-based learning methods.
- Encourage inquiry, experimentation, and problem-solving among students.
- Support students in completing STEM projects and activities.
Student Support
- Work closely with Urdu-speaking and Urdu-medium students.
- Use Urdu, Hindi, and English appropriately to facilitate learning.
- Identify learning gaps and provide additional support where needed.
- Promote confidence, participation, and teamwork among students.
Programme Implementation
- Ensure regular and timely conduct of assigned sessions.
- Maintain attendance records and session documentation.
- Assist in organizing STEM exhibitions, competitions, workshops, and events.
- Support the implementation of REAP's education initiatives in the field.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Track student participation and learning progress.
- Conduct basic assessments and maintain records.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports to the Programme Coordinator.
- Document success stories, photographs, and activity highlights.
Coordination
- Coordinate with school authorities, teachers, and community stakeholders.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programmes, and planning sessions.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and programme staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Education, or a related field.
- Freshers and candidates with up to one year of experience are welcome to apply.
- Knowledge of Urdu is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with children and youth from underserved communities.

Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel within Chembur and Govandi.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
