About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record in the manufacturing, laser cutting, or metal fabrication industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, identifying new market opportunities, acquiring clients, and building long-term customer relationships while consistently achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, referrals, industry events, and cold calling.
- Generate qualified leads and convert them into long-term business relationships.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and business growth targets.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, including CEOs, Production Managers, Procurement Heads, and Plant Managers.
- Prepare and present customized proposals, quotations, and commercial offers.
- Lead contract negotiations and successfully close business opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and marketing teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Promote laser cutting, fabrication, and related manufacturing services through presentations and client meetings.
- Manage the complete sales pipeline using CRM tools and maintain accurate customer records.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure successful onboarding and long-term account management.
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry networking events.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare regular business development reports, sales forecasts, and performance updates for senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in Business Development or B2B Sales.
- Proven experience in the manufacturing, laser cutting, sheet metal, fabrication, or engineering industry.
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into business solutions.
- Strong networking and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales automation tools.
- Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings and business development activities.
