Content Writer (Scriptwriting) — [Fight the Sunrise]
About the Role
You'll sit at the heart of our creative production. Your job is to translate workout ideas, coach insights, and brand stories into a consistent pipeline of scripts for videos — reels, testimonials, coach-led demos, transformation stories, and educational content.
You're not a media buyer. You're not a data analyst. You're the person who looks at what the coach wants to say, figures out the best way to tell it, and writes the script that makes it watchable.
This role lives or dies on two things: quality of writing and consistency of output.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with coaches to extract their knowledge — listen to their training philosophies, common client questions, and success stories, then turn that into clear, natural scripts
- Write scripts for video formats of all lengths: 30-second reels, 60-second how-tos, 2-minute educational videos, and longer transformation stories
- Own the monthly script calendar — plan, write, and deliver 20–30 scripts per month without slippage
- Coordinate with coaches to review scripts before shooting, ensuring their voice stays authentic while keeping the content tight and engaging
- Review all scripts before they go to production — hooks, CTAs, tone, and flow — and ensure quality and brand consistency
- Build and maintain a script library organized by format, topic, coach, and video length
- Identify winning writing patterns — if a certain storytelling style or hook format consistently gets more watch time, you should be the first to spot it and use it more
- Work with the team to develop a system for rapid iteration — when a script style works, you should be able to write 3–4 variations within days, not weeks
Requirements
- Strong storytelling instincts — you don't need to know marketing, but you need to know how to write a hook that holds attention and a closing that feels natural
- Experience writing video content at volume — reels, short-form video, UGC-style scripts, testimonials, educational content
- Ability to work with coaches without being their boss — you'll need to get scripts approved from people who have other priorities (training clients, running sessions)
- Strong organizational skills — tracking 20–30 scripts across drafting, review, and delivery requires a system, not just memory
- Comfort with feedback loops — you'll hear "this script doesn't sound like me" regularly, and you need to treat that as useful direction, not criticism
- Good ear for what makes content scroll-stopping vs skippable — even if you can't articulate the theory, you should be able to spot it
- Based in Mumbai/Maharashtra or willing to be — this role requires in-person coordination with coaches and the production team
Preferred
- Prior experience in fitness, wellness, or education writing video scripts
- Familiarity with Instagram reels, YouTube shorts, and TikTok creative best practices
- Experience working with fitness coaches or talent who aren't professional writers
- Basic editing sense — enough to trim a script, annotate, or visualize a scene when needed, not enough to replace an editor
- Exposure to tools like Notion, Google Sheets, or similar for script tracking and pipeline management
What success looks like in the first 90 days
- You're consistently delivering 20–30 scripts per month on schedule
- The production team considers you a partner, not a bottleneck — scripts flow both ways
- You've built a repeatable weekly workflow: coach briefing → drafting → review → final script → delivery
- You can point to at least 2–3 scripts you wrote that coaches loved and the team filmed without major rewrites
- Coaches and editors know what's expected of them and when, because you've built that rhythm
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
