Job Description: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – ChemistryPosition Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified, dynamic, and experienced PGT Chemistry to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Chemistry education to secondary school students (Grades 9 & 10) and spearheading the JEE Foundation Program for middle school students (Grades 6, 7 & 8).
The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the subject, outstanding pedagogical skills, and a proven track record of nurturing young minds for competitive engineering entrance examinations from an early stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Delivery (Grades 9 & 10):
- Deliver comprehensive, engaging, and syllabus-compliant Chemistry lessons to secondary school students.
- Conduct practical laboratory sessions, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and helping students develop strong analytical skills.
- Prepare students thoroughly for board examinations through rigorous testing, revision cycles, and remedial support.
- JEE Foundation Program (Grades 6 to 8):
- Design and implement a structured Foundation curriculum aimed at building conceptual clarity, logical reasoning, and advanced problem-solving skills in Chemistry.
- Bridge the gap between school-level science and competitive exam requirements (IIT-JEE/NEET).
- Introduce higher-level application concepts in an accessible, engaging, and age-appropriate manner.
- Assessment & Evaluation:
- Design high-quality assessments, mock tests, and worksheets for both regular school academic plans and the foundation batches.
- Analyze student performance metrics to identify learning gaps and provide targeted mentorship.
- Administrative & Professional Development:
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and internal grading.
- Collaborate with the Science Department to align the curriculum horizontally and vertically.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and continuous professional development workshops.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: * Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is highly preferred/mandatory as per institutional norms.
- Experience: * A minimum of 8 years of teaching experience in a reputed school or coaching institute.
- Proven experience in teaching secondary classes (Grades 9–10) under standard boards (e.g., CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
- Demonstrated expertise in coaching/teaching IIT-JEE Foundation courses to middle school or high school students.
Skills & Competencies
- Subject Matter Expertise: Profound knowledge of Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry with the ability to simplify complex reactions and mechanisms.
- Pedagogical Skills: Proficiency in modern teaching methodologies, including digital tools, interactive smart-boards, and experiential learning.
- Classroom Management: Excellent ability to maintain discipline and foster an inclusive, high-energy learning environment for diverse age groups (from Grade 6 up to Grade 10).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Mentorship: A passion for guiding students, boosting their confidence, and instilling a competitive yet healthy mindset.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
