About the Role
We are looking for a Python Developer — but not a typical full-stack developer. While basic familiarity with frontend frameworks like Next.js / React.js is a plus, our primary focus is backend engineering. You will work on building and scaling backend systems, APIs, and pipelines — including work related to training and integrating ML models. This role is a great fit for developers who love building robust backend systems, working with APIs, containers, and microservices, and who are curious about machine learning / model development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using FastAPI
- Containerize and deploy applications using Docker
- Build and maintain microservices-based architecture
- Work on data/model pipelines — including data preprocessing, training workflows, or inference pipelines
- Collaborate with the frontend team (Next.js / React.js) to integrate backend services
- Contribute to internal tools, automation scripts, and open-source-style pipeline development
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code
- Participate in code reviews and system design discussions
Required Skills
- Strong fundamentals in Python
- Hands-on experience (personal projects, internships, or professional) with FastAPI (or similar frameworks like Flask)
- Working knowledge of Docker and containerized deployments
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Basic understanding of frontend frameworks (Next.js / React.js) — not expected to be an expert, but should be comfortable working alongside frontend code
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub and collaborative development workflows
Good to Have (Big Plus)
- Experience with model training, fine-tuning, or building ML pipelines
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Personal projects involving data pipelines, automation, or applied ML
- Exposure to model deployment / inference serving
- Any exposure to LLMs, NLP, or applied deep learning projects
Experience Level
- 0–1+ years of experience — freshers/students with strong personal projects or open-source contributions are welcome to apply
- Passionate final-year students or recent graduates with demonstrable backend/ML project work are encouraged to apply
- Candidates with experience in model fine-tuning, training, or ML-based development will be given preference and considered for a more senior/higher role
