Job details

· To approve quality of all in-coming raw materials - metallurgical, sand and additives

· To ensure in – process testing as per standard norms and give timely feedback to concerned process owner

· To ensure calibration of all testing equipment as per schedule

· To ensure timely preparation of all lab related data and documentation

· To issue material test certificate as per norms

· To Examine metal samples to determine microstructure, matrix & chemical properties for release to production

· Maintaining records related to physical characteristics of metal

· Perform chemical analysis by using spectrometer

· Maintain accurate record keeping for the traceability of all test results for future reference

· Incoming inspection of materials as per standard procedure

· Green sand properties testing and corrective actions in sand plant

· Core shop material testing and analysis

· Lab QMS Documentation and Exposure to ISO 9001-2000

To establish safety procedures and 5 S Standards

Managerial Skills
Co-ordination with other departments
Shift Performance review and reporting
Data analysis and presentation Computer skills
· Lab QMS Documentation and Exposure to ISO 9001-2015

· Chemical & mechanical analysis of metal and interpretation with casting properties

· Knowledge on material testing , properties and their impact on casting

· Knowledge of all parameters of incoming materials, chemical analysis

· Knowledge of metallurgical aspects of grey iron, ductile iron, etc.

· Understanding of all testing procedures, frequency of testing

· Knowledge of all Measuring/testing instruments

· Knowledge of Calibration of measuring/testing equipment

· Knowledge of metallurgical defects and corrective actions

· A degree in metallurgy / Science (BE/Diploma) (Bsc chemistry) and/ or experience in testing of green sand and iron industries

Three years in the testing field of green sand and iron chemistry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
