Job Summary
Network Voice Engineer – L2/L3 Role: Network Voice Engineer – L2/L3 Experience Required: 5 to 10 years Role Summary: We are looking for an experienced Network Voice Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Cisco Unified Communications technologies. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise voice infrastructure across multi-location environments. Key Responsibilities • Design, install, implement, and support Cisco Unified Communications solutions including CUCM, CUPS, UCCX, Unity Connection, and Unity Express. • Configure user phone features, IP phone customization, firmware upgrades, DHCP, and Network Time Protocol within the cluster. • Perform CUCM backup and restore activities and use Bulk Administration Tool for large-scale administration tasks. • Configure and manage H.323, SIP, and MGCP voice gateways for enterprise voice environments. • Implement end-to-end Unified Communications infrastructure for centralized multi-location clusters. • Configure VoIP and POTS dial peers, translation rules, route patterns, route lists, route groups, hunt pilots, hunt lists, transformation patterns, COR lists, globalization, and localization. • Design, test, and implement full and fractional ISDN T1/E1 circuits, FXO, and FXS interfaces. • Configure SIP trunks, H.225 trunks, SRST, BACD, location-based CAC, RSVP-based Call Admission Control, AAR, and CFUR. • Design and configure media resources such as conference bridges, transcoders, MTP, and Music on Hold. • Configure Ad-hoc, Meet-me conferencing, Device Mobility, Extension Mobility, and Unified Mobility features. • Integrate Unity Connection, Unity Express, UCCX, and CUPS with CUCM. • Configure and implement softphones and desk phones with CUPS. • Configure IP phone services including IPPM, Single Button Agent Login, and VoiceView Express. • Troubleshoot CUCM, CME, voice gateways, call routing, Unity Connection, Unity Express, UCCX, and CUPS-related issues. • Use CDR, DNA, and RTMT tools for monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting. • Configure IOS DHCP, VLAN, Voice VLAN, 802.1Q trunks, STP, and Frame Relay connections. Required Skills and Knowledge • Strong hands-on experience in Cisco Unified Communications technologies. • Good understanding of CUCM, CME, UCCX, CUPS, Unity Connection, Unity Express, and voice gateway technologies. • Experience in enterprise voice design, deployment, migration, and support activities. • Strong troubleshooting skills across voice infrastructure, call routing, gateways, and collaboration platforms. • Basic knowledge of IVR scripting and auto attendant configuration using UCCX. • Basic networking knowledge including OSPF, EIGRP, and RIP.
