Job Summary
The Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, construction drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings based on project requirements. The role involves working closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure all drawings comply with applicable standards, codes, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
- Develop architectural, structural, and civil drawings as per project requirements.
- Prepare shop drawings, working drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Revise and update drawings based on site conditions and design changes.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and site teams to resolve drawing-related issues.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, local regulations, and quality standards.
- Maintain drawing registers and document control.
- Assist in quantity take-offs and preparation of BOQs when required.
- Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and collect information for drawing preparation.
- Archive and organize all project drawings and revisions.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Draftsman (experience requirement can be adjusted).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or other BIM software is an advantage.
- Good understanding of construction methods, building codes, and engineering standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
