Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and a working knowledge of space products and aerospace systems. The ideal candidate will support the design, development, analysis, testing, and qualification of mechanical components and assemblies for space and aerospace applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software.
- Perform engineering calculations, structural and thermal analyses, and tolerance studies.
- Support product development from concept through manufacturing and testing.
- Prepare engineering drawings, technical documentation, and design reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure product performance and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and engineering specifications.
- Participate in prototype development, testing, validation, and failure analysis.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of product design and manufacturing processes.
Additional Requirement – Space Products Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of spacecraft structures, launch vehicle systems, satellites, and space mechanisms.
- Knowledge of materials used in space applications and their behavior in extreme environments.
- Familiarity with thermal management, vibration, and environmental testing for space hardware.
- Awareness of aerospace quality standards and engineering practices.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and apply engineering principles to space product development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
