Daily Operational Responsibilities
- Conduct morning:
- Toolbox talks
- Safety briefings
- Verify:
- PPE compliance before work starts
- Review and issue PTW for:
- Hot work
- Confined space
- Work at height
- Lifting operations
- Check:
- Gas testing reports (<10% LEL)
- Isolation and entry conditions
- Ensure availability of:
- Fire extinguishers
- Fire watch
- Rescue equipment
Site Monitoring
- Perform inspections:
- Onboard vessels
- Yard areas
- Monitor:
- Welding and cutting activities
- Aerial / height work
- Lifting and rigging operations
- Outfitting and installation work
Safety Enforcement
- Identify unsafe acts and conditions
- Take immediate corrective action
- Stop work in case of serious violations
Technical Checks
- Ensure:
- Proper scaffolding and fall protection
- Harness usage and anchorage
- Verify:
- Crane operations
- Rigging tools and lifting safety
Confined Space Control
- Monitor:
- Ventilation
- Standby personnel
- Rescue readiness
SIMOPS Management
- Manage simultaneous operations
- Prevent cross hazards between activities
Inspections & Investigations
- Conduct:
- Daily safety walkdowns
- JSA / HIRA assessments
- Investigate:
- Incidents and near-misses
- Perform:
- Root cause analysis (RCA)
Emergency Preparedness
- Conduct drills:
- Fire
- Spill response
- Rescue
- Man-overboard
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain:
- PTW registers
- Inspection reports
- Incident logs
- Safety checklists
- Submit:
- Daily HSE reports
Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- QA/QC team
- Production team
- Contractors and supervisors
Compliance & Housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with:
- Company HSE policies
- Port and marine regulations
- Monitor:
- Housekeeping and site cleanliness
End-of-Day Closure
- Close all permits
- Review pending risks
- Plan next day safety priorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Occupational Health & Safety
- Environmental Science
- Marine Engineering or related field
- Certifications:
- NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / Diploma in Industrial Safety
- First Aid / Fire Safety
- ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 (preferred)
- HAZID / HAZOP / JSA
- Manage and enforce:
- Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems
- Perform:
- Daily and weekly safety inspections
- Site audits and compliance checks
- Lead emergency drills:
- Fire
- Man-overboard
- Oil spill response
- Investigate:
- Incidents and near-misses
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Implement corrective actions
- Conduct:
- Toolbox talks
- Safety inductions
- Manage contractor safety:
- Bridging documents
- Compliance monitoring
- Implement:
- Dropped object prevention systems
- Ensure safety during:
- Post-refit trials (as per OEM specifications)
- Maintain:
- Health surveillance programs
- Complete HSE documentation
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
