- Annual Planning: Set strategic order intake targets and budgets, and develop actionable plans to keep the manufacturing facility operating at optimal capacity.
2. Tendering and Commercial Negotiations
- Bid Preparation: Collaborate with the estimation and technical engineering teams to prepare competitive, compliant, and profitable technical and commercial proposals.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead commercial discussions, price negotiations, and contract closures, ensuring all terms minimize corporate risk while meeting customer requirements.
3. Cross-Functional Execution
- Order Fulfilment: Act as the primary liaison between the client and internal manufacturing, planning, and logistics teams to ensure timely production and dispatch.
- Credit & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with company pricing guidelines, credit terms, and legal/safety regulations.
- Payment Collection: Drive the timely collection of receivables, milestone payments, and resolution of commercial disputes in coordination with the finance department.
4. Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; an MBA or advanced degree in business or marketing is highly preferred.
- Experience: Typically 8 to 15+ years of B2B sales experience in power equipment, with a specific focus on distribution and power transformers.
