Role and Company Overview:
LEDFlex Group was established in 2010 after identifying a gap in the market for a more comprehensive range of linear lighting products and has now grown into a leading technology supplier. We design, develop and manufacture LED lighting solutions for the UK and International markets. At LEDFlex we continue to lead the way in performance, efficiency and ecological friendly exterior and interior projects.
We are looking for an organised, proactive, and technically capable IT Administrator to take ownership of our software licensing and IT administration. This is a key operational role where you will become the central point of contact for all software and licensing across the business, ensuring our systems remain compliant, cost-effective, and well managed.
While the primary focus of this position is software asset and licence management, you will also support the wider IT function by carrying out routine administration, assisting with user onboarding, performing maintenance tasks, and providing occasional first-line technical support.
This role would suit someone who enjoys organisation, documentation, process improvement, and has a solid technical foundation across Microsoft technologies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Software & Licence Management: (Primary Responsibility)
- Own and maintain the company's complete software inventory.
- Maintain an accurate register of all software, licences, subscriptions, and associated costs.
- Track licence allocation to individual users and departments.
- Manage software renewals to ensure no interruptions to business operations.
- Purchase and provision new software licences as required.
- Monitor software usage and identify opportunities to optimise licence utilisation and reduce costs.
- Work with suppliers to obtain quotations, renewals, and licensing advice.
- Produce regular reports on software usage, licensing, compliance, and expenditure.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all software-related requests across the business.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding users by provisioning and removing software access.
IT Administration:
- Perform routine IT administration tasks.
- Execute scheduled maintenance and repetitive operational tasks.
- Monitor server, storage, and backup systems.
- Perform housekeeping and cleanup activities across systems and platforms.
- Maintain IT documentation and internal procedures.
- Assist the IT Manager with administrative and operational projects.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive administrative processes.
User Support:
- Provide occasional first-line technical support for Windows and macOS users.
- Assist with workstation setup and troubleshooting.
- Support user account administration and access requests.
- Escalate more complex technical issues where appropriate.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 / Office 365 environments.
- Strong understanding of software licensing and subscription management.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Good working knowledge of Windows and macOS.
- Experience supporting end users in a business environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work independently.
- High attention to detail with a methodical approach.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including switches, routers, firewalls, and TCP/IP.
- Experience with backup solutions and storage management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
- Knowledge of endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune.
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting/automation tools.
- Understanding of software asset management (SAM) best practices.
