We are seeking an experienced Head Biller / RCM Manager to lead our billing operations, manage a team of 20+ professionals, improve revenue performance, and ensure maximum collections for our clients.
Position Overview
The Head Biller / RCM Manager will be responsible for overseeing the complete Revenue Cycle Management process, from patient registration through final payment collection. This leadership role requires strong analytical skills, team management experience, client-facing communication abilities, and a proven track record of improving collections while reducing denials.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 20+ medical billing and AR professionals.
- Oversee end-to-end Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) operations.
- Monitor billing workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and revenue trends.
- Develop and present weekly and monthly performance reports to clients.
- Conduct denial analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce denial rates.
- Ensure timely claim submission, payment posting, follow-up, and collections.
- Maximize reimbursement and collection rates while maintaining compliance standards.
- Track AR aging and implement strategies to improve cash flow.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize operational efficiency.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to achieve performance goals.
- Establish productivity and quality benchmarks across billing operations.
- Build strong relationships with clients and act as a trusted RCM advisor.
- Identify revenue leakage and implement solutions to improve profitability.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Medical Billing and Revenue Cycle Management.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience managing billing teams.
- Strong understanding of:
- Claims processing
- AR follow-up
- Denial management
- Payment posting
- Insurance verification
- Credentialing workflows
- Advanced reporting and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, reporting tools, and healthcare billing software.
- Experience preparing and presenting operational reports to clients.
- Strong knowledge of US healthcare payer guidelines and reimbursement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling multiple specialties and provider groups.
- Knowledge of automation tools, reporting dashboards, and workflow optimization.
- CPC, CPB, or other healthcare billing certifications preferred.
