Job Purpose
To plan, deliver, and assess Psychology lessons for Junior College students, fostering critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and an understanding of human behavior. The Psychology Teacher will create an engaging learning environment that supports students' academic achievement and personal development while preparing them for board examinations and higher education.
Key Responsibilities1. Teaching and Learning
- Plan and deliver effective Psychology lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and board guidelines.
- Develop students' understanding of psychological concepts, theories, and research methods.
- Use a variety of teaching methodologies, including discussions, case studies, presentations, projects, and practical activities.
- Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and application of psychological principles to real-life situations.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
2. Assessment and Evaluation
- Design and administer assessments, assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, academic progress, and assessment results.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations through revision sessions and remedial support.
3. Student Development
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Guide students in developing study skills, research abilities, and ethical understanding.
- Provide academic counseling and mentoring when required.
- Support students' emotional well-being and refer concerns to appropriate school authorities when necessary.
4. Curriculum Planning and Academic Support
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching resources.
- Participate in curriculum review and development activities.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching practices into classroom instruction.
- Stay updated with developments in psychology, education, and assessment practices.
5. Co-Curricular and Institutional Responsibilities
- Organize psychology-related activities, seminars, workshops, and awareness programs.
- Participate in school and junior college events, meetings, parent interactions, and professional development programs.
- Assist with examination duties, admissions-related activities, and institutional initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree (M.A./M.Sc.) in Psychology from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. preferred.
- Relevant teaching experience at Junior College, Higher Secondary, or Senior Secondary level preferred.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of educational psychology.

Working Hours: As per institutional norms
Salary: As per qualification, experience, and institutional policy.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
