The opportunity:
As a Software Engineer, you will be part of Indian Operation Center, India (INOPC-PG), aiming to develop a global value chain, where key business activities, resources, and expertise are shared across geographic boundaries to optimize value for Hitachi Energy customers across markets. As part of Transformers BU, we provide high-quality engineering and Technology to Hitachi Energy world. This is an important step from Hitachi Energy's Global Footprint strategy.
How you’ll make an impact:
Taking responsibility for implementing server’s side logic, APIs, and microservices based on the technical specifications and architectural guidelines.
Ensure high quality, scalable, secure, and maintainable backend components using modern development practices.
Implement backend services and APIs using architectural and coding standards. Develop scalable microservices aligned with enterprise integration patterns.
Write automated tests and maintain code quality following TDD principles. Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and frontend teams.
Troubleshoot and optimize application performance.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering, with 5+ years of experience in enterprise software development.
Strong expertise in OOP using C# (.NET 6+), Java, C++, or similar languages. Proven experience with Entity Framework, Code First design, and relational data modeling.
Understanding of event-driven architecture (Kafka, Azure Service Bus, etc.). Experience designing microservices and RESTful APIs.
Knowledge of orchestration methodologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm). Experience with Azure Cloud is a plus.
Proactive problem-solving and process optimization approach. Strong analytical thinking and systematic troubleshooting abilities.
Capability to formalize operational knowledge and transfer expertise to team members.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
