- Sales & Revenue Generation: Analyze sales metrics, set revenue targets, and implement strategies or local promotions to maximize profitability. [1, 2]
- Team Management: Recruit, onboard, and train store associates. This includes scheduling shifts, conducting performance reviews, and motivating staff to hit KPIs. [1, 2]
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, handle stocktaking, coordinate with suppliers for replenishment, and minimize shrinkage or overstocking. [1, 2]
- Customer Experience: Maintain high service standards by resolving complex customer complaints and ensuring a welcoming, efficient shopping environment. [1, 2]
- Financial & Cash Management: Prepare store budgets, monitor operational expenses, and oversee cash handling and daily reconciliations. [1, 2]
- Store Operations & Compliance: Enforce visual merchandising guidelines, ensure store cleanliness, and maintain compliance with safety, security, and loss prevention protocols. [1]
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in retail management, often as an Assistant Store Manager or Key Holder.
- Skills: Strong business acumen, proficiency in financial/inventory software, excellent communication, and strong leadership abilities.
- Education: A high school diploma is standard, though a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Retail Management is highly preferred
