Job Description: Steward – Luxury Resort
Job Summary
The Steward is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation within the kitchen and food & beverage service areas. This role ensures that all kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery, and workspaces are clean, organized, and readily available to support smooth culinary operations while complying with food safety and luxury hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, wash, sanitize, and store kitchen utensils, cookware, crockery, glassware, and cutlery.
- Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchens, food preparation areas, storage rooms, and stewarding areas.
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned, polished, and stored according to resort standards.
- Remove waste, segregate recyclables, and dispose of garbage in accordance with hygiene and environmental policies.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report shortages to the Stewarding Supervisor.
- Assist in receiving, organizing, and storing kitchen supplies and equipment.
- Support kitchen and Food & Beverage teams during busy service periods.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and occupational health and safety procedures.
- Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, or safety hazards promptly.
- Assist with setting up and clearing banquet and event equipment when required.
- Maintain cleanliness of staff dining and back-of-house areas as assigned.
- Perform deep-cleaning tasks according to the stewarding schedule.
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in stewarding, kitchen operations, or hospitality is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene, sanitation, and safe chemical handling.
- Ability to operate commercial dishwashing equipment.

Working Conditions
- Shift-based schedule, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.

- Fast-paced kitchen and Food & Beverage environment with exposure to heat, moisture, and cleaning chemicals.
Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
