Job Title: Executive/Senior Executive – Raw Material Procurement

Location: Bengaluru (RR Nagar HQ), with travel to Bidadi plants

Experience: 2–4 years in FMCG / food processing / agri-commodity procurement
About the Role
The Executive – Raw Material Procurement is responsible for sourcing raw and packaging materials across GO DESi's manufacturing units. The role ensures timely availability of materials at the right cost and quality to support production plans.
Key Responsibilities

Source and purchase raw materials (Cashew, Milk, tamarind, jaggery, sugar, fruit pulp, spices, coconut)
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop vendors, including farm-gate and mandi-level sources for seasonal commodities.

Negotiate price, credit terms, and delivery schedules; finalise annual and seasonal rate contracts.

Monitor agri-commodity price trends and plan procurement, including bulk buying during harvest seasons, to optimise cost.

Raise purchase orders and coordinate with stores on GRN, quality clearance, and reconciliation.

Work with the Quality and Food Technology teams to ensure incoming materials meet defined specifications and food-safety standards.

Coordinate with production planning and stores to maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid stockouts.

Ensure vendor compliance and documentation (FSSAI, GST, food-grade certifications, test reports).

Maintain accurate procurement records, including landed cost, price history, and vendor scorecards, and report on savings and consumption.
Requirements

2–4 years of experience in raw material and/or packaging procurement in FMCG, food processing, or agri-commodities. Experience with agri-inputs such as Cashew , tamarind and jaggery is preferred.

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Good analytical ability with a clear understanding of landed cost, price variance, and MOQ.

Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of ERP/procurement systems.

Understanding of food-safety and quality standards for incoming materials.

Willingness to travel to plant and vendor locations.

Graduate in Commerce, Science, Food Technology, Agriculture, or a related field. Supply chain certification is an added advantage.
