Vasantrao Naik Mahavidyalaya (Autonomous) invites applications for the position of Computer Science Faculty to deliver industry-oriented education in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, and Business Computing. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to bridge theoretical concepts with real-world applications through project-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom, laboratory, and practical sessions.
- Develop lesson plans, course materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Conduct continuous evaluation through quizzes, practicals, projects, and presentations.
- Guide students in academic and industry-based projects.
- Mentor students regarding higher education, certifications, internships, and career opportunities.
- Maintain academic records, attendance, and assessment reports.
Practical & Industry Learning
- Conduct hands-on coding and laboratory sessions.
- Integrate real-world case studies and industry examples into teaching.
- Encourage students to participate in hackathons, coding competitions, and innovation activities.
- Organize workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and certification programs.
Research & Development
- Encourage research-based learning.
- Guide students in mini and major projects.
- Participate in curriculum development and academic quality initiatives.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cloud Computing, and Cyber Security.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental meetings and institutional activities.
- Assist in NAAC, NBA, NEP, and Autonomous College documentation.
- Support admissions, orientation programs, student mentoring, and placement initiatives.
Subjects to be Taught
The faculty member should be capable of teaching one or more of the following subjects:
- Cyber Security
- Digital Fluency and AI Information Literacy
- Data Repository
- NoSQL using MongoDB
- Computational Thinking & Python for Business
- Data Visualization using Power BI
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) using C++
- Foundational Python for Data Science
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
- NET/SET/Ph.D. preferred as per UGC and State Government norms (where applicable).
- Minimum 2 years of teaching and/or relevant industry experience.
