Job Summary:
The Child Behavior Therapist works with children to assess and treat behavioral, emotional, and developmental challenges. They use evidence-based techniques to improve behavior, emotional regulation, and social skills, while collaborating with families and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess children’s behavior and emotional needs, creating personalized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy (individual/group) using methods like CBT, play therapy, and behavior modification.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and professionals to support the child’s progress.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on progress.
- Educate families on managing behaviors and providing support at home.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- Licensed or certified in child therapy or behavioral analysis.
- Strong knowledge of child development and behavior management.
- Experience with children’s behavioral challenges (e.g., ADHD, autism).
Preferred:
- ABA certification or similar.
- Previous experience in clinical or school settings.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time or part-time; flexible hours.
