Position Title: DTP Operator (Full Time)
Purpose: To translate the work of educationists/subject matter experts/faculty into digital files ready to go to print for publication.
Responsibilities
To operate desktop publishing software and equipment to design, lay out, and produce camera-ready copy.
To check preliminary and final proofs for errors and make necessary corrections
To view monitors for visual representation of work in progress and for instructions and feedback throughout process, making modifications as necessary
To enter text into computer keyboard and select the size and style of type, column width and appropriate spacing for printed materials
To be able to type English, make figures / engineering diagrams, use formula symbols effectively
To store copies of publications on paper
To collaborate with graphic artists, editors and writers to produce master copies according to design specifications
To edit graphics, such as photographs or illustrations
To import text and graphics into publishing software
To integrate images and text to create cohesive pages
To adjust text properties, such as size, column width, and spacing
To revise layouts and make corrections as necessary
To submit or upload final files for printing or online publishing and digital
COMPETENCIES
Proven experience on Publication
Practical Knowledge of working on tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe, Coral Draw
Able to type in English with speed
Experience in video editing, content typing
Adaptable, flexible and fast learner
Self-motivated, High Integrity, Independent & Outside the BOX thinker
Educational Qualifications
Graduate/ Certification in DTP
Preference to candidates having good understanding of English (Written)
Experience
1 to 5 years of experience in DTP in an EdTech/Education Industry.
