Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to support our procurement, production, inventory, logistics, and export operations. The intern will work closely with multiple departments to ensure that orders are processed, produced, documented, dispatched, and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the sales, production, operations, customer service, and shipping teams to support timely order processing and deliveries.
- Assist in updating and maintaining ERP records related to procurement, inventory, production, and order management.
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and suppliers through emails, reports, calls, and regular follow-ups.
- Coordinate with shipping lines and freight forwarders for bookings, shipment planning, freight-related activities, and logistics follow-ups.
- Coordinate with the factory to monitor production progress and support the timely completion of customer orders.
- Support the preparation and verification of export documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, and other export-related certificates.
- Track domestic and international shipments and coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
- Monitor shipment schedules and proactively follow up on documentation, production, and logistics activities to avoid delays.
- Support discussions and negotiations with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and logistics service providers under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in maintaining procurement, production, inventory, shipment, and order-status reports.
- Identify potential delays or operational issues and promptly communicate them to the concerned teams.
- Support cross-functional coordination to ensure the smooth execution of domestic and international supply chain operations.
Candidate Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, Operations Management, Commerce, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of procurement, inventory management, production planning, logistics, and export operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional email-writing and follow-up skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other office productivity tools.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple teams, suppliers, and external logistics partners.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly while handling ERP data and export documentation.
- Good organisational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to learn ERP systems, shipping procedures, export documentation, and international logistics operations.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of Incoterms, shipping documentation, freight forwarding, and export processes.
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory management software.
- Ability to analyse quotations, freight rates, shipment schedules, and supplier information.
- Confidence in communicating with suppliers and logistics service providers.
