We are looking for a qualified and responsible Pharmacist to manage the day-to-day pharmacy operations at our
clinic. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of medicines, prescriptions, inventory management, and
patient handling, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines accurately as per prescriptions issued by doctors.
- Verify prescriptions for correct medicine, dosage, quantity, and instructions.
- Explain medication dosage, administration, precautions, and possible side effects to patients.
- Maintain proper records of medicines dispensed and prescriptions.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including stock receipts, storage, expiry tracking, and replenishment.
- Monitor near-expiry and expired medicines and ensure proper segregation/disposal.
- Maintain appropriate storage conditions for medicines, including temperature-sensitive products.
- Ensure availability of commonly prescribed medicines and proactively raise purchase requirements.
- Coordinate with doctors, clinic staff, suppliers, and distributors regarding medication requirements.
- Maintain records and documentation as required under applicable pharmacy regulations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable drug and pharmacy laws and clinic SOPs.
- Handle billing/POS systems related to pharmacy transactions, where applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper arrangement of the pharmacy.
- Support patients with basic medication-related queries while referring clinical questions to the doctor when required.
- Assist with audits, stock verification, and reconciliation.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and prescription information.
Candidate Requirements
- D.Pharm / B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid State Pharmacy Council registration.
- 1–5 years of experience as a Pharmacist, preferably in a clinic, hospital, or retail pharmacy.
- Good knowledge of medicines, dosages, brands, and generic alternatives. Good understanding of prescription reading and medication dispensing.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with pharmacy billing/inventory software.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Patient-friendly attitude and professional appearance.
- Ability to independently manage day-to-day pharmacy operations.
Preferred Skills
- Experience handling chronic disease, oncology, or specialty medicines would be an advantage, depending on the clinic.
- Knowledge of inventory and expiry management.
- Good vendor/distributor coordination skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Strong customer/patient service orientation.
