The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort for guests and staff within the establishment. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to providing an exceptional environment. The associate will work in various areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, adhering to all safety and sanitation protocols.
- Clean and tidy all assigned areas to the highest standards, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing surfaces.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish towels and amenities in guest rooms according to established procedures.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks, and floors.
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Inspect rooms and public areas for maintenance issues such as broken fixtures, leaks, or damaged furniture, and report them promptly to supervision.
- Restock cleaning carts with supplies and ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order at the end of each shift.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
- Handle guest requests and inquiries courteously and efficiently, escalating complex issues to management as needed.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with guests and colleagues at all times.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects, carpet cleaning, and other special cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Ensure all lost and found items are documented and turned over to the appropriate department immediately.
- Monitor and control inventory of cleaning supplies and guest amenities, reporting shortages.
