The Head of Operations for seamless tubes will oversee and manage the entire manufacturing process, ensuring the production of high-quality seamless tubes, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires extensive experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain management, quality control, and continuous process improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Will be Responsible for managing Greenfield projects, specifically in setting up new manufacturing operations from the ground up.
1. Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage all aspects of production operations, including planning, coordination, and execution of manufacturing processes.
- Ensure smooth operations in the production of seamless tubes by overseeing daily production activities and identifying areas of improvement.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all operational areas.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining product quality standards.
2.Production Planning and Control:
- Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery timelines.
- Ensure optimal resource allocation (manpower, materials, machinery) for efficient production.
- Monitor production performance against targets, adjusting schedules or resources as necessary to meet KPIs.
3.Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure all seamless tubes meet required specifications and customer standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high standards of product quality.
- Work closely with the quality control department to resolve any issues that may arise in the production process.
4.Supply Chain and Inventory Management:
- Oversee supply chain management to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and other production inputs.
- Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to ensure the highest standards of material quality.
- Implement inventory control measures to prevent overstocking or shortages, optimizing storage and material handling practices.
5.Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization through lean manufacturing practices, automation, and other efficiency-enhancing technologies.
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement new technologies or process innovations.
- Analyze data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in production processes.
6.Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all local and international regulations related to manufacturing, safety, and environmental standards.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all employees.
- Prepare and manage audits related to regulatory and safety standards.
7.Team Development:
- Recruit, train, and develop the operations team, fostering a strong sense of collaboration, accountability, and motivation.
- Set clear performance objectives and provide regular feedback to team members.
