The Assistant Manager – HR supports the Human Resources function across the hospital by assisting in implementing HR strategies that align with the organization’s mission, compliance standards, culture, and workforce requirements. This role involves supporting HR operations, employee relations, recruitment, compensation & benefits, learning & development, and policy implementation to enhance employee engagement and overall organizational performance in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with hospital goals.
- Partner with senior leadership to support growth, workforce planning and organizational change.
- Drive initiatives that foster a performance-oriented, patient-centric culture.
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Forecast staffing requirements, manage talent pipelines, and improve hiring quality.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and credentialing requirements for healthcare staff.
3. Performance Management
- Design, execute, and continuously improve performance appraisal systems.
- Coach managers on performance evaluations, corrective actions, and career development.
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous feedback.
4. Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee compensation strategy, salary structures, bonuses, incentives, and benefits.
- Conduct benchmarking studies to ensure competitiveness in the healthcare market.
- Manage statutory compliance relating to payroll, leave, gratuity, PF, ESI, etc.
5. Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee issues, grievances, discipline, and conflict resolution.
- Foster a transparent, fair, and respectful workplace.
- Implement policies that maintain high morale and protect the organization legally.
6. Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and lead development programs for clinical and support staff.
- Support leadership development, succession planning, and continuous professional education.
- Promote compliance training related to safety, quality, ethics, and regulations.
7. HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure accurate HR documentation, HRIS management, record-keeping, and reporting.
- Maintain compliance with labor laws, healthcare regulations, employment standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Lead HR audits, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting.
8. Culture, Engagement & Well-Being
- Develop initiatives to drive employee engagement, recognition, well-being, and retention.
- Lead HR communication strategies and staff feedback mechanisms.
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and equity initiatives.
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- MBA / Master’s in HRM or equivalent preferred.
- Additional certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP / CIPD / HRCI) are a plus.
Experience
- Minimum 3 to 12+ years in Human Resources with progressive leadership responsibility.
- Healthcare/hospital HR experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in talent management, employment law, compensation, HR analytics and organizational development.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
