Role Summary
The Financial Analytics & Costing Analyst is responsible for delivering financial analysis, costing, forecasting, budgeting, profitability insights, and management reporting to support business decision-making. The role requires strong analytical skills, financial modeling expertise, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations. Responsibilities include cost allocation, variance analysis, financial planning, operational performance reporting, and supporting business cases.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analytics
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Perform revenue, cost, margin, and profitability analysis.
Analyze actuals versus forecast, budget, and prior periods.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to business stakeholders.
Develop dashboards and management reports for leadership.
Conduct trend analysis and identify business risks and opportunities.
Costing & Cost Management
Perform product, project, service, and operational costing.
Maintain cost models and cost allocation methodologies.
Analyze direct, indirect, fixed, and variable costs.
Support standard costing and cost optimization initiatives.
Reconcile cost data with financial statements and general ledger.
Monitor headcount costs, project costs, and operational expenses.
Planning & Forecasting
Support Annual Operating Plan (AOP), budgets, and forecasts.
Prepare financial models for scenario planning.
Support business case development and investment analysis.
Identify risks, assumptions, and financial impacts.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
Present findings to senior management.
Collaborate with Finance, Operations, PMO, HR, and Business Teams.
Support month-end and quarter-end financial close activities.
