The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, tidiness, and aesthetic appeal of all assigned areas within the facility, including guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role is crucial in providing a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff, upholding the highest standards of hygiene and customer satisfaction.
- Perform a thorough cleaning of assigned guest rooms and common areas, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing all surfaces.
- Change and replenish bed linens, towels, and guest amenities according to established standards.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and floors, ensuring all fixtures are sparkling and supplies are restocked.
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Inspect and report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed in rooms or common areas to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment.
- Handle guest requests and complaints courteously and efficiently, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
- Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, reporting shortages to ensure continuous availability.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects, special events, or other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
- Ensure all lost and found items are handled and documented according to company procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members, including front desk and maintenance staff, to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
