Job Summary:
The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing all bar operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining beverage quality standards, managing inventory, controlling costs, leading the bar team, and driving beverage sales and profitability. The role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:1. Operations Management
- Manage day-to-day bar operations and ensure smooth service.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and service standards.
- Monitor opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards within the bar area.
- Ensure all beverages are prepared and served according to established recipes and presentation standards.
2. Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate bartenders, barbacks, and service staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
- Prepare staff schedules and manage manpower efficiently.
- Maintain discipline, grooming, and professional behavior among team members.
3. Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor stock levels and place beverage orders.
- Conduct weekly and monthly inventory audits.
- Control beverage costs, wastage, breakage, and pilferage.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing when required.
- Ensure proper storage and stock rotation practices.
4. Financial Management
- Monitor daily sales and revenue performance.
- Manage cash handling procedures and POS transactions.
- Prepare sales reports and analyze beverage profitability.
- Achieve beverage revenue and cost targets.
- Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting.
5. Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally.
- Develop promotional activities, special events, and beverage programs to increase sales.
- Build customer loyalty through personalized service.
6. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with liquor laws, health regulations, and company policies.
- Monitor responsible alcohol service practices.
- Maintain all required licenses and documentation.
- Conduct regular safety and hygiene inspections.
7. Beverage Program Development
- Design and update cocktail, wine, beer, and beverage menus.
- Introduce innovative beverage concepts and seasonal promotions.
- Conduct product knowledge and mixology training for staff.
- Monitor beverage trends and competitor activities.
Qualifications:
- Graduate or Diploma in Hotel Management/Hospitality Management preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in bar operations with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in premium restaurants, lounges, clubs, or five-star hotels preferred.
- Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, and beverage costing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office.

Pay: ₹12,882.86 - ₹52,342.46 per month
