Job Summary
The Welder & Fabricator is responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding metal components according to technical drawings and specifications. The role involves fabrication of structures, repair and maintenance work, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape metal materials using appropriate tools and machinery.
- Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, Arc, or Gas welding techniques as required.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures, frames, and equipment.
- Repair damaged metal parts and structures.
- Conduct grinding, drilling, fitting, and finishing activities.
- Inspect welded joints and fabricated components to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in good condition.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and use PPE at all times.
- Coordinate with supervisors and team members to complete assigned work within timelines.
- Report any equipment defects, safety hazards, or quality issues immediately.
Required Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, Fitter Trade, or equivalent.
- Relevant certification in welding is preferred.
- Basic understanding of fabrication drawings and measurements.
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in welding and fabrication work.
- Experience with stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, or structural fabrication preferred.
Skills Required
- MIG, TIG, Arc, and Gas Welding skills.
- Fabrication and fitting expertise.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Knowledge of welding safety standards.
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,487.21 per month
