A mobile technician diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs hardware and software issues on smartphones and tablets. They test devices, manage repair inventories, and provide customer support to ensure optimal device performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics: Identify hardware failures (e.g., broken screens, bad batteries, faulty charging ports) and software errors (e.g., app crashes, OS glitches).
- Hardware Repair: Replace physical components such as screens, cameras, and batteries using specialized tools and micro-soldering techniques.
- Software Troubleshooting: Install OS updates, flash firmware, and resolve connectivity or system configuration problems.
- Customer Service: Explain repair processes, offer maintenance recommendations, and manage customer records.
- Inventory Management: Track and order replacement parts while maintaining a safe, organized workspace.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electronics is a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency with mobile operating systems (iOS and Android) and electronic diagnostics.
- Strong manual dexterity, soldering skills, and attention to detail when handling delicate components.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
