Job Summary
The Document Controller (Advocate) is responsible for managing, organizing, maintaining, and safeguarding all legal documents and records of the company. The role ensures proper documentation, timely retrieval, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize all legal documents, contracts, agreements, notices.
- Receive, register, classify, and archive legal documents in both physical and digital formats.
- Ensure all documents are properly indexed, version-controlled, and securely stored.
- Coordinate with advocates, legal consultants, government authorities, and internal departments for document collection and submission.
- Prepare document registers, trackers, and status reports.
- Monitor document expiry dates, renewals, and legal deadlines.
- Assist in preparing legal correspondence, affidavits, agreements, and other legal documentation as instructed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all legal records and sensitive information.
- Retrieve documents promptly whenever required by management or legal counsel.
- Ensure compliance with company document control procedures and legal record-keeping standards.
- Support audits, inspections, and legal proceedings by providing the required documentation.
- Maintain electronic document management systems (EDMS) and ensure regular backups.
- Perform any other documentation-related duties assigned by management.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
