Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Vehicle Architecture Engineer to lead the development of vehicle architectures for agricultural and off-highway machinery. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Digital Mock-Up (DMU), Vehicle Packaging, BOM Management, PLM processes, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure optimized vehicle design, manufacturability, serviceability, and quality throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of complete vehicle architectures by translating high-level product requirements into optimized vehicle layouts.
- Conduct Digital Mock-Up (DMU) reviews to identify and resolve packaging conflicts, interferences, assembly issues, and serviceability concerns.
- Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Serviceability (DFS) methodologies throughout the product development process.
- Support both Physical and Virtual Vehicle Builds by ensuring design readiness and issue resolution.
- Create and manage Vehicle BOM (Bill of Materials) and ensure BOM alignment in Purchase Orders (POs) with Teamcenter.
- Process and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO) using Teamcenter Engineering (TCaE).
- Perform DMU Closure activities in collaboration with design teams.
- Create and manage Variants using PRP (Product Rule Processor) and support configuration management.
- Utilize Creo, Vis Mockup, and other CAD tools for vehicle layout, packaging studies, detailed design, and motion envelope analysis.
- Perform 2D Stack-up Analysis to validate dimensional integrity, fit, finish, and tolerance accumulation.
- Understand and apply PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) principles to maintain data integrity and process compliance.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, gate reviews, and engineering change review meetings.
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Service, Quality, Supplier Quality, and Engineering teams to investigate and resolve Build and Field issues.
- Coordinate effectively with global cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to ensure timely project execution.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in Agricultural Machinery or Off-Highway Vehicle product development will be highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems integration, packaging, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with global engineering teams and cross-functional product development environments.
Preferred Experience
- 7–10 years of total experience in Vehicle Architecture or Vehicle Packaging.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Automotive On-Highway or Off-Highway Vehicle development.
- Prior experience with Agricultural Equipment or Construction Machinery is an added advantage.
