HOD – Physiotherapy
Job Role & Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Department (HOD) – Physiotherapy to lead and manage our physiotherapy and rehabilitation services with clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Physiotherapy Department including OP, IP, ICU, Neuro, Ortho, Cardio, and Rehabilitation services.
- Develop treatment protocols, rehabilitation programs, and evidence-based physiotherapy practices.
- Manage daily departmental operations, patient flow, therapist scheduling, and service quality.
- Conduct patient assessments and oversee complex rehabilitation cases.
- Coordinate with doctors, PMR specialists, neurologists, orthopedicians, and multidisciplinary rehab teams.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate physiotherapists, interns, and junior staff.
- Ensure proper documentation, patient records, treatment notes, and compliance with hospital standards.
- Monitor department performance, patient outcomes, revenue targets, and productivity.
- Introduce advanced rehabilitation techniques and technologies.
- Handle patient counseling, family education, and clinical escalations.
- Ensure infection control, safety standards, and quality protocols are followed.
- Participate in marketing activities, medical camps, awareness programs, and brand-building initiatives.
- Support NABH/JCI quality initiatives and accreditation processes.
- Develop departmental SOPs, KPIs, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Collaborate with management for departmental growth, expansion, and strategic planning.

Qualification
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Physiotherapy (BPT/MPT)
- Minimum 5–10 years of clinical experience
- Prior leadership or HOD experience preferred
