About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Smart Home & Automation Technician to join our field operations team based in Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining smart home automation systems at residential and commercial properties. Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Setup: Install and configure smart switches, touch panels, smart locks, sensors, gateways, and other home automation devices.
- Testing & Commissioning: Configure Wi-Fi and Zigbee networks, pair devices, and ensure seamless operation through mobile applications and voice assistants.
- Site Assessment: Inspect existing electrical wiring, switchboards, and infrastructure to determine installation requirements and compatibility.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve hardware, wiring, connectivity, and device-related issues during installation and post-installation support.
- Customer Demonstration: Explain system features and train customers on using mobile apps, automation scenes, and voice control functions.
- Documentation: Maintain daily installation reports, service records, and inventory of tools and equipment assigned for field operations.
- Safety & Quality: Follow installation standards and safety procedures to ensure reliable and high-quality project execution.
Qualifications & Skills
- ITI Certification or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience as an electrician, CCTV installer, network technician, home automation technician, or appliance service engineer. Freshers with strong technical knowledge are welcome to apply.
- Good understanding of residential electrical wiring, switchboards, relays, networking basics, and Wi-Fi router configuration.
- Hands-on experience using electrical and installation tools such as multimeters, wire strippers, drilling machines, and crimping tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Must own a two-wheeler and possess a valid driving licence for field visits across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Hindi or Marathi. Basic English communication will be an added advantage.
