Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Shopify / E-commerce Developer responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining online stores, along with building and integrating custom Shopify apps. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with the Shopify ecosystem, including theme development and app architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain e-commerce websites using Shopify
- Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Design and develop custom Shopify apps (public/private apps)
- Integrate Shopify APIs (Admin API, Storefront API, Webhooks)
- Work with app backends using technologies like Node.js / PHP / Python
- Implement third-party integrations (payment gateways, shipping, CRM tools)
- Optimize website performance, speed, and scalability
- Troubleshoot bugs and ensure cross-browser/device compatibility
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and business teams
- Ensure security, authentication (OAuth), and data protection standards
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Shopify
- Proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience in Shopify App Development
- Knowledge of Shopify APIs (REST / GraphQL)
- Backend development experience (Node.js / PHP / Python)
- Understanding of OAuth authentication and webhooks
- Familiarity with databases (MongoDB, MySQL, etc.)
- Version control using Git
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2.5 + years of experience in Shopify / E-commerce development
- Experience with Shopify App Store submission process
- Knowledge of WooCommerce or Magento
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Firebase, etc.)
- Understanding of scalability and performance optimization
