Job Title: Site Supervisor – MHE Rental Operations
Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Purpose:
To oversee and manage day-to-day operations at the assigned site, ensuring optimal performance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), adherence to safety protocols, efficient staff management, and high-quality service delivery to the client.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
Oversee the operation and maintenance of all MHE (forklifts, pallet trucks, reach trucks, etc.) at the site.
Coordinate with operators and ensure efficient equipment utilization.
Monitor equipment performance and arrange preventive and corrective maintenance as needed.
2. Team Supervision:
Supervise and coordinate with forklift operators, technicians, and other staff on site.
Manage shift schedules to ensure continuous operations.
Provide training and guidance to operators regarding safety and operational procedures.
3. Client Coordination:
Act as the primary point of contact for the client regarding operational requirements, queries, or concerns.
Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Address and resolve client complaints in a timely manner.
4. Safety & Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with site and company safety policies.
Conduct regular safety drills and audits.
Ensure MHE operators hold valid licenses and certifications.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain records of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs.
Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly operational reports.
Keep track of inventory and spares required for maintenance.
6. Cost Control:
Monitor fuel and power consumption of MHE.
Minimize downtime through proactive maintenance planning.
Ensure operations remain within budgeted costs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Qualification: Diploma/Graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or related fields (preferred).
- Experience: 2–5 years in logistics, warehouse operations, or MHE management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good communication and client management abilities.
- Familiarity with MHE equipment and basic mechanical knowledge.
- Proficient in MS Office and operational reporting.
