We are looking for a qualified and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our mental health team. The psychiatrist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with mental health disorders, including emotional, behavioral, and cognitive issues. The consultant will play a key role in treatment planning, psychotherapy, medication management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
- Diagnose mental health conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribe medication and monitor patient response to treatment.
- Provide individual, group, or family counseling sessions as needed.
- Collaborate with psychologists, clinical staff, social workers, and other medical professionals.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records.
- Support inpatient and outpatient departments (IP/OP).
- Participate in case discussions, review meetings, and family meetings.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and care plans.
- Adhere to legal, ethical, and institutional guidelines.
- Participate in awareness programs, mental health camps, or outreach if required.
Qualifications:
- Education: MD/DNB in Psychiatry or Diploma in Psychological Medicine (DPM)
- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience post-qualification in a clinical or hospital setting. Freshers may be considered for junior consultant roles.
- License: Must be registered with State Medical Council / MCI / NMC
