Senior Design Engineer – Overhead Lines (OHL)

We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer – OHL to deliver detailed design for high‑voltage overhead transmission projects up to 400kV. The role involves end‑to‑end design, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring safe, compliant, and buildable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop OHL designs including sag‑tension, creep, clearance, and loading studies
- Perform line routing, structure spotting, modelling, and clearance checks using PLS‑CADD, PLS‑Tower, PLS‑Pole
- Prepare Design reports , AD drawings, and technical documentation
- Support tenders, scope definition, schedules, and risk registers
- Ensure compliance with design standards, QA processes, and CDM regulations
- Collaborate with internal project teams, suppliers, and clients
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering
- 8+ years of overhead transmission line design experience
- Strong expertise in PLS‑CADD/PLS Tower/PLS pole and transmission line modelling
- Knowledge of BS / IEC / IS / IEEE / ANSI standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD / MicroStation and MS Office suite
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
