Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG/CO₂ welding on fabricated components and assemblies.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and aligning materials before welding.
- Set up and operate welding machines and related equipment.
- Inspect welds for quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy.
- Repair defective welds and perform rework when required.
- Use fabrication tools such as grinders, cutting machines, and measuring instruments.
- Follow welding procedures and company quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure proper handling of tools and equipment.
- Comply with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with supervisors and quality inspectors to complete jobs on schedule.
Qualification
- ITI (Welder/Fitter) or equivalent preferred.
- Certification in MIG/CO₂ welding is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in MIG/CO₂ welding.
- Experience in industrial fabrication, structural steel, or heavy engineering preferred.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in MIG/CO₂ welding techniques.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of welding equipment setup and maintenance.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and measuring tapes.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials as required.
- Willingness to work overtime or shifts when production demands.
Working Hours
9:30 AM – 6:30 PM (Monday to Saturday)
Pay: From ₹17,000.00 per month
