Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing all electrical systems and equipment in the hotel to ensure guest safety, comfort, and uninterrupted operations. Must respond quickly to breakdowns and support preventive maintenance programs.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Daily Operations
Attend to electrical complaints from guest rooms, restaurants, kitchens, banquet halls, and back-office areasTroubleshoot and repair lighting, power sockets, switches, fans, HVAC control panels, and distribution boardsMaintain emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, and UPS/inverter systems
Preventive Maintenance
Perform scheduled PPM checks on DG sets, transformers, main LT panels, and sub-panelsCheck and record readings for energy meters, power factor panels, and load distributionService electrical equipment like pumps, motors, kitchen equipment, laundry machines, elevators (in coordination with AMC)
Guest Room Maintenance
Inspect and repair room electrical fittings: TVs, minibars, hairdryers, kettles, lighting, A/C controlsEnsure all safety standards are met before guest check-in
New Installations & Projects
Assist in electrical work for renovations, new equipment installation, and events/banquetsLay cables, install conduits, and terminate connections as per drawings
Safety & Compliance
Follow LOTO procedures and hotel safety protocolsEnsure compliance with local electrical codes and hotel brand standardsMaintain logbooks for breakdowns, energy consumption, and PPM activities
Coordination
Coordinate with other trades: HVAC, plumbing, carpentry for integrated repairsGuide and train helpers/junior techniciansReport major faults and material requirements to Chief Engineer
Working Conditions
Shift duties including night/weekend/holiday shifts
On-call for emergencies
Physical work: climbing ladders, lifting tools, working in plant rooms
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
