About Kingsway Drafting & Design
Kingsway Drafting & Design is a Calgary, Alberta-based residential design and drafting firm. We prepare permit-ready drawing packages, Revit models, 3D renderings, construction drawings, and design documentation for custom homes, duplexes, townhomes, fourplexes, secondary suites, small multifamily projects, builders, developers, and homeowners.
Our work focuses on precision, buildable design, clean documentation, fast turnaround, and practical construction-focused drawings. We work closely with builders, engineers, consultants, and clients to move projects from concept to permit-ready drawings.
Position Overview
We are looking for 2–4 Architecture Graduates / Junior Revit Trainees from India to join our Canadian design team remotely.
You do not need to be a licensed architect. This role is suitable for:
- Architecture graduates
- Civil engineering graduates
- Architectural assistants
- Junior designers
- Revit trainees
- Candidates with basic Revit Architecture knowledge
This is a training-focused role. We do not expect you to already know Canadian building codes, wood-frame construction, municipal requirements, or permit drawing standards. We will train you over approximately 6 months.
However, you must already know the basics of Revit and be able to prepare simple floor plans, elevations, sections, sheets, and basic 3D models.
Working Hours
This role requires working during Canadian business hours.
The working hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mountain Time, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Applicants must be comfortable working according to Calgary, Alberta time. Training, meetings, redline reviews, and project discussions will happen during these hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and update Revit models for Canadian residential projects.
- Create and revise floor plans, elevations, sections, roof plans, schedules, and basic details.
- Work from sketches, redlines, markups, reference images, and project instructions.
- Update drawings based on team comments and project revisions.
- Maintain clean Revit files, organized views, sheets, title blocks, and drawing sets.
- Assist with permit-ready drawing packages.
- Assist with 3D exterior concepts and presentation drawings when required.
- Follow Kingsway drawing standards, file naming systems, and project workflows.
- Communicate with the Canadian team during working hours.

Required Skills
- Basic to intermediate Revit Architecture knowledge.
- Ability to create simple floor plans, elevations, sections, and sheets in Revit.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good English communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully.
- Willingness to accept feedback and revise work properly.
- Reliable computer or laptop.
- Stable internet connection.
- Ability to work remotely and meet deadlines.
- Availability to work 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mountain Time, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Preferred Skills
- Degree or diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or related field.
- AutoCAD knowledge.
- Experience with SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape, D5 Render, or similar software.
- Previous residential working drawing experience.
- Portfolio or sample Revit drawings.
