Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations in the granite processing plant, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety regulations, and operational efficiency are achieved. The role involves supervising manpower, coordinating with maintenance and quality teams, and optimizing production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily granite cutting, polishing, sizing, and finishing operations.
- Plan and monitor production schedules to meet customer delivery timelines.
- Ensure optimum utilization of machines, materials, and manpower.
- Maintain product quality according to company and customer specifications.
- Monitor production output and prepare daily production reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize machine downtime.
- Train, guide, and evaluate production workers and operators.
- Control material wastage and improve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with Quality Control, Dispatch, and Inventory departments.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards throughout the production area.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in granite, marble, stone processing, or manufacturing industry preferred.
- 3–7 years of experience in production supervision (experience may vary based on employer requirements).
Required Skills
- Knowledge of granite processing and production workflows.
- Ability to manage production planning and workforce scheduling.
- Understanding of quality control and safety standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and production reporting systems.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
